First and always, a sincere thank you to all of you who have trusted me with your very special day.

I can not tell you in words, how it humbles me, to have so many appreciate what I do, and that so many of you continue to recommend me to family, co-workers, friends and strangers.  God bless you and thank you.

I am blessed  to be apart of, and have so many memories.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with my friend and Event Planner, Laura Hartshorn, of Har 2 Heart Event Planning, at The Merion in Cinnaminson, NJ for a Retirement Party.  Laura's decorative detail, provided a stunning visual of elegance and sexy. Thanks Laura for having me!

I provided a little up-lighting to accent the room at the honoree's table.  I also enjoyed working with Photographer Patricia Morgan of Subarashii Photography

Grace Surprised

Ok, I admitt, I lied a little.  For the past year, I've been planning a surprise birthday party for my wife and I had to tell a few lies, but it was all worth it.

We planned an elegant and sexy birthday surprise for her at the beautiful Waterfall Banquets Center, in Claymont, DE.  Balloons were provided by Fulton Paper and Party; Cake was made by Sweets To You in Wilmington, DE, and everything was perfect.

Family, friends, and co-workers came out to celebrate with my wife on her birthday.  What's even more special is, this is my wife's very first birthday party, ever.

We all had such a good time and simply enjoyed the company, the food and the dancing.

I'd like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting my wife.  Thank You.

The video says it all.  What a great time!  I love playing music from 50s and 60s, and the Yacht Club had a great time dancing to them.

Thanks so much, I truly had a good time.

Fabian McCullen
Kate and Andrew McCullen, DigNazio's Towne House, Media, PA

Intro Song: How Forever Feels by Kenny Chesney
First Dance Song:  I Cross My Heart by George Strait
Cake Cutting Song:  Grow Old With You by Adam Sandler
Anniversary Dance Song: God Bless The Broken Road by Rascall Flatts
Last Dance:  Then by Brad Paisley

Kate and Andrew found me, through a DJ aquaintance, Guy Artis, of OHS Entertainment.  He was booked, however, suggested they give me a call.  I must admit, my schedule was fairly busy, and I was surprised that I had the day available... and I was thrilled that it was.

The evening began with a beauiful ceremony and then reception.
Kate and Andrew entered and danced to a classic song by George Strait, "I Cross My Heart".  For dinner music, Kate requested some soft rock from artists like, Elton John, Lionel Richie, and John Denver.  For dancing, our bride wanted to really pick up the pace with some Outkast, AC/DC, Aerosmith and Corona.
I had the great pleasure of working with Lindsey Musser and her staff at Encompass Photopgraphy and the staff at D'ignazio's Town House in Media, PA was very cordial and fun.

One of the highlights of the evening, was Kate's three nieces who sang "Somewhere Out There" from the movie, "An American Tail"

Thank you so much Kate and Andrew for allowing me share your special day.

First Dance Song: Me and You - Kenny Chesney
Anniversary Dance Request: I Believe In You and Me - The Four Tops
Last Dance Song: What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong

Amy and Tim are very close friends of my wife, and I was commanded to perform at  their wedding.  After our first conversation over the phone, Amy and Tim, quickly became friends of mine as well.  Although, we had met briefly before at a corporate function, I wanted to meet them with new eyes, and after doing so, I am proud to call them friends; They are an awesome couple.

The event started with photos on the lawn, then a beautiful ceremony inside, with cocktails and reception immediately after.

After a warm introduction and first dance to Me and You by Kenny Chesney, dinner was accompanied by classic ballads from Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, Amos Lee, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, Nina Simone, Diana Krall and others, however, it was a soft blend of Motown hits, that really got the dance floor moving.

Amy and Tim's reception was light on formality, and heavy on family, warmth, romance and dancing.  One of the highlghts of the evening was when, Tim requested all of the married couples to share an anniversary dance in honor of the longest married couple in the room, who were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary.

I was proud to have shared their special day, and more than that; I made my wife and our friends very happy!

The event was catered by The Greenery Caterers and everthing was great; good food and excellent service.

Formal Songs
First Dance - Whatever It Is by Zac Brown Band
Bride/Father - My Wish by Rascal Flatts
Groom/Mother - I'll Always Be Your Mother by Lynn Leonti

I met Tim and Christina at the wedding of her best friend Mr. and Mrs. Logullo, so I was thrilled when they asked that I participate in their wedding reception as well.

The day began with an early phone call from the Groom's mother, asking if I was able to locate a special song she heard on YouTube, called,  I'll Always Be Your Mother by Lynn Leonti; well, let's just say I held the truth for a few hours... It was a very special moment when she heard the song begin to play during their dance.

After dinner, it seemed everyone was eager to get on the dance floor, so I obliged.  We danced, and we danced some more.  I was asked to stay another hour, so, we danced some more.  We ran out time before we ran out of requests.

The staff at the Minquas Fire Company, was cordial and the food was good.

What a lovely family to perform for.  Thank you Tim and Christina for inviting me to share your special day.

First Dance:  I Found Love - BeBe and CeCe Winans
Bridal Party: Candy - Cameo
Cake Cutting - Could You Be Loved - Bob Marley
Removing Garter - Mr. Lover Man - Shabba Ranks
Bouquet Toss - I Want It All - Ms Thing
Putting On Garter - Give It To Me Right - Melanie Fiona

Well, After 17 years, several kids, and grand children, Roberta and Clifford Richardson, reunite and re-marry.  Wow, what an awesome story of love.

I was thrilled when Roberta asked that I share her day with family and friends as the DJ for her wedding reception.

I usally spend time organizing music that brings family together, however, this family was already together, everybody new everybody, sooooo, let's get to the party!

Clifford spent most of his life in Bermuda, so this became a wedding reception with a reggae theme very quickly and Roberta said, she wants lots of energy in the room.

The evening started with some soft gospel slow jams, and then a little Motown, then a heavy dose of old and new reggae jams, along with some choice line dance favorites.  The party started early, and ended late.

The highlight of the evening was a very touching toast from their son and Best Man who could not hold back the tears of joy, saying, they've waited so long for this day.

Thank you Richardson family, it was a pleasure to share the day with you.

Finally, I had a great time working with Photographer Tyrone Greene again.  We previously worked together at Mr. and Mrs. Baltimore's Wedding Reception a week ago.

God Bless

Bride / Father Song - You're A Big Girl Now by The Stylistics
Groom / Mother Song - One In A Million by Larry Graham
Bouquet Song - Single Ladies by Beyonce

Cake Cutting Song - Sweeter Than Sugar by Joe
Last Song - At Last by Etta James

I am reminded from time to time why I do what I do.  Kim and Gilbert are the perfect example.

Kim and I attend the same church, Victory Christian Fellowship in New Castle, DE., however, It was a mutual friend, Yolanda Brown, that recommended me for her wedding reception.

Kim requested a surprise Motown themed wedding reception for her fiance; you know, music you can Bop to.  Kim and Gilbert selected The Asbury United Methodist Church in New Castle, De to celebrate with 200 of their closest friends and family at the Asbury United Methodist Church, in New Castle, DE.

We started the evening with some smooth jazz, and once the Bridal Party was introduced and seated, we quickly moved to our Motown theme music.  Well, the dancing starting almost immediately.  Guests were singing and swaying to every song all night.

Kim's smile radiated the room; it was so easy selecting music that matched her smile and energy, and Gilbert danced like the happiest man on earth.

The guests did the Bop, The Electric Slide, The Cupid Shuffle, The Cha Cha Slide, and slow danced with their spouses; they had a very good time.

Thank you to all the guests for so many comments on the music, I truly appreciate the love.

Thank you Gilbert and Kim, for reminding me, that loving people is the reason I do what I do.  Love You.

stephens
Mr. and Mrs. Stephens, renewing vows at Lucien's Manor in Berlin, NJ.

Intro Song:  Always and Forever by Heatwave

Family.  It's the only way I can describe the awesome time I had celebrating with the Stephens Family.

First, let me offer a big THANK YOU to Mr. and Mrs. Wesley in Florida, who found me on the internet and suggested I speak with their nephew Curtis Stephens in Virginia, who interviewed me by telephone, and suggested I meet with his sister, Lori Stephens, in New Castle, DE, about the event taking place in Berlin, NJ... and that's how I ended up at Lucien's Manor.

Well, I had a ball. The food was very good, the decor at Lucien's was absolutely beautiful and the service was perfect.  The guests were cordial and so very nice, and Dottie Peoples was fantastic... what a blessing.

Dottie Peoples
Dottie Peoples

The evening began with a Power Point presentation set to music, displaying The Seasons of Change of marriage, followed by the entrance of Mr. and Mrs. Stephens, and the renewing of vows.  After the blessing of the food, we were blessed in song by the beautiful Alysha Riley who sang "The Lord's Prayer", and then a poem from Marcella Lewis.

After dinner, we were all surprised, when our coordinator, Edna Wesley, introduced, Dottie Peoples.  She was just fantastic. She sang about 8-9 songs and had us all clapping, tapping, moving, and dancing.  Dottie was kind enough to stay for a while to sign autographs and take pictures.

I also had a great time with the photographer.  We both agreed and shared comments on how nice the guests were; just an all around good time.

The best part of it all was, I felt like I was with family.  Thanks Brother Curtis, Sister Lori, Aunt Edna and Uncle Larry, you guys are awesome!

Rodrick Moore
Rodrick Moore with wife LaShawanda and his Mother

Rodrick's Intro Song:  Take A Picture by Swizz Beatz

Ok, I'm not a photographer, but Rodrick Moore is.  I was so excited when I was invited to share and perform for Rodrick's Brand Release and 40th Birthday Celebration planned by his beautiful wife LaShawanda.

What makes him an outstanding photographer?  Rodrick says it with his brand philosophy, "Love, Dream, Life".  He lives to document your story of love; encourages us to follow our dream, and live life to the fullest.

Several friends and family offered comments on "Why I Love Rodrick", and the overwhelming comment was... Family.  It's evident and clear the love he displays for his wife and three sons.  He is a committed husband, father, son and photographer.

The event was shared with many wedding professionals that contributed to the event.  It was my pleasure to meet and work with them all.

I was thrilled when singer and author, Tonja Jennings, ask me to share in her wedding ceremony and reception to Darrin Alexander. Tonja published her first novel "The Day I Woke Up" in May 2009, and she sings amazingly well.

Mr. and Mrs. Alexander shared a beautiful intimate ceremony and reception with family and friends at the elegant
Harry's Savoy Ballroom. The ballroom is headed by wedding coordinator Gloria Talbot who managed the event perfectly; and the food... simply delicious.

Jazz and today's slow jams from Usher, Tamia, Eric Benet, Musiq and Jennifer Hudson, with a splash of hits from the 70s by The Whispers, Maze, and Denise Williams, set the tone for conversation, nostalgia, and romance, on an early Saturday afternoon.

Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Alexander for allowing me to share your special day.

First Dance Song:  Close To You by BeBe and CeCe Winans
Bride & Father Song:  My Little Girl by Tim McGraw
Groom & Mother Song: Twenty Years Late by Aaron Lines
Bridal Party Song:  Everytime I Close My Eyes by Babyface
Bouquet Toss: Bootylicious by Beyonce
Garter Song:  Candy by Cameo
Cake Cutting Song:  Don't Change by Musiq

Photographer:  Katie Patton
Videography:  Belles and Beaus

I normally begin each blog by telling you my impression of the wedding, this time I'll just memo what the guests said about us:
"...you're kicking their #%! on the dance floor"
"that was the best old school mix I've every heard"
"you are the man"
"you over did yourself"
"Wow, what a great idea"

I met Charla and Garrett at a reception at the Chesapeake Bay Inn, in Chesapeake City, MD.  They said that after checking out several DJs, I was the best by far, and would love for me to be apart of their wedding.

The day started on a peaceful cool March Saturday.   The firehall was spacious and the food was great.

After formal introductions, dances, toast and dinner, the dancing began, and hours later, they were still going... Motown, Oldies, Disco, 80s, 90s, Club, and Hip-Hop.  Sadly, I had to announce the last song, but we kept dancing....

Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Lang, let's do it again real soon.

The Videographer and Photographer were great; they captured each moment and allowed the event to flow flawlessly.
